What is Ta’zīz and what does it mean?
Ta’zīz is a verbal noun derived from the Arabic verb عَزَّزَ which means “to support, strengthen, and fortify”. Our Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم warned us that the challenges we face will only increase in severity and danger as time passes on. The Muslim family is in great need of fortifying itself upon the divine guidance of the Quran and Sunnah, as implemented by the companions of the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم.
Our mission, with the permission of Allah تعالى, is to provide resources, educational and recreational, that will help strengthen the Muslim family upon Quran and Sunnah so that we can face the challenges of today and tomorrow with the help of Allah تعالى.
We will strive to produce authentic content, based upon classical works of the great scholars of the past while connecting our audience to the explanations of our present day scholars.
What type of content is Ta’zīz going to create?
At-Tasfiyyah (Purification) and at-tarbiyyah (cultivation) are central to rectifying the individual, the family, and society as a whole. Our content will focus on removing incorrect understandings and replacing it with beliefs and actions based upon the Quran and the Sunnah with the understanding of the Companions of the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم.
We aim to produce audio, video, and written content specific to parents, teens, and children. Our goal, is to create content that each age group within a family can study together as single unit.
Where is Ta’zīz located?
Most of our in-person activities are organized in Baltimore and Washington D.C. metro vicinity. Even then, we have a large focus on presenting educational activities online so that families through out the world can join us and benefit.
